Here’s why buses are a good travel option
For those that may have difficulty in accessing public transport due to a disability or there age, there are community transport options available. The Cambridge Dial-a-Ride service is operated by a charitable organisation which provides bespoke links from your home to destinations across the city of Cambridge and bordering villages.

Traveline provides a comprehensive and free journey planner with access to bus timetables from all over the country. Additionally, Traveline is available as an app, free to download on Android and iOS devices here.
The Stagecoach app allows you to go cash free when travelling by bus. In addition to this, if you wish to take up the 4-week’s free bus travel, you’ll need to download your tickets through the mobile app (full step-by-step information will be provided). The app is free to download and also offers live bus times and journey planning.
As an alternative, the Bus Checker app provides instant and up to date arrival information for buses. Live route maps are also available through the app which is free to download.
